Dual arms · first teleoperation

Configuration-specific

Before you begin

For TRON 2 dual-arm and mobile dual-arm configurations. Start with an assembled, wired robot; assembly and initial wiring are outside the two-hour session. Check the existing connections against the wiring reference. This page covers basic operation; continue to the VLA project to complete onboarding. Keep everyone outside the arms' motion range and keep the robot in sight.

Never connect a 24V power cable to a 48V port. Read the operating requirements before powering on.

Power on and learn the controller

Follow Power on & shut down and confirm the lights and controller connection. In remote-control or high-level development mode, L1 + X returns the arms and then enters idle. Pressing both stick buttons cuts motor power immediately; the arms may drop.

L1 + □ enters damping directly and is reserved by the main manual for emergencies when the return action fails. It is not the normal preparation step.

Connect VR

While idle, use R1 + right / left direction to select teleoperation mode. For local VR connection:

  1. Hold the headset power button for about 3 seconds. Wear the headset for first-time setup.
  2. Connect to your robot's TRON2A_XXX_2.4G or TRON2A_XXX_5G Wi-Fi network, using 12345678.
  3. Open Library → Unknown sources → Limx_teleop.
  4. Select tron2-offline, enter 10.192.1.2, and connect. If prompted about body following, do not enable it.

Do not remove the headset detection-sensor covering sticker. After configuration, position the headset horizontally at your neck, hold both controllers and keep the robot in sight. See VR teleoperation for the placement illustration.

Success check: the teleoperation interface and camera views are visible. If connection fails, verify the robot hotspot, local profile and IP before continuing.

Complete your first follow motion

Follow the ready-pose and unlock instructions in the operation guide. Start with small, slow hand movements.

The Chinese operation guide contains a local, human-confirmed X/A button timing correction dated 2026-09-26. It distinguishes first use from subsequent use and has not been synchronized into the English original. Review the Chinese operation guide before operating; do not assume the English original includes this correction.

Mobile-base and lift operations are optional follow-up topics, not required for this first session.

Return and continue to the VLA project

Use L1 + X to return the arms and wait for idle and a stable lowered position. Keep power on to continue with the VLA deployment guide. If ending the session here instead, follow the fixed/mobile shutdown procedure. Do not simply cut power while the arms are unsupported.

Completion check

  • Correct fixed/mobile power setup checked.
  • Controller connection and teleoperation mode identified.
  • VR connected and slow follow motion completed.
  • Normal return and emergency stop understood.
  • Normal return completed; ready for VLA deployment, or safely shut down if stopping early.

Successful deployment and a real VLA task trial are still required to finish the full route. Based on User Manual sections 1.6, 3.3, 4.4 and 5. Hardware validation and English editorial review are pending.
